How do you price custom work?
After the assessment and before anything is signed, as a fixed scope with a fixed price. If the scope changes, that is a conversation, not an invoice that arrives later.
What if it does not work?
The scoping stage defines what working means, in measurable terms, before we start. If we do not think it can be met, we say so then rather than discovering it at the end.
Who owns the code?
You do, at handover, along with the documentation. That is the point: nothing about the arrangement should compel you to stay.
What if requirements change mid-build?
They usually do. Small changes are absorbed; anything that moves the scope is a conversation before it is work, with the effect on time and price stated up front.
